At the time of initial contact the total survivor membership of the Post Polio Support Group was distributed as follows:

• 175 (45%) Eastern Region (ECAHB, SWAHB, NAHB, NEHB, MHB)
• 155 (40%) Southern Region (SHB, SEHB, MWHB)
• 55 (14%) West and North West Regions (WHB and NWHB)
• 5 (1%) Northern Ireland and oversea
