AGM and Conference 2007

We held our A.G.M. and Conference this year on Saturday 5th May at the Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley, Dublin 22.  There was an excellent attendance from all over Ireland.

Terry Prone, the well known author and journalist, launched "Polio and Us", a most interesting book of personal stories written by Polio Survivors themselves.  A copy has been posted free of charge to all members.  Click here for an account of the launch

Keelin O'Reilly and Associates, have been working with us to plan a complete strategy for the Post Polio Support Group for the next few years.  Keelin made a presentation to all the members and their families, carers and friends indicating the views that had been gathered to date.  Click here for a copy of Keelin’s presentation (229 KB).

In the afternoon Keelin conducted workshops to develop the process further and to get the suggestions of all present to assist the Post Polio Support Group in meeting the needs of all the members.  There was lively discussion of the issues and many good suggestions made.  All went home tired at the end of the day.  We all await the results of Keelin’s work which will be published in the June edition of the SURVIVOR.
